We should make our utmost efforts to preserveintangible heritages because, without their physical form of existence, theyare in greater risk of extinction.
Accordingto UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage(2003), all forms of social customs and habits, folklore, performing arts,rituals, oral traditions, festivals, traditional crafts and various knowledgeand practices about nature and universe can be classified as intangiblecultural heritages. As a country consisting of a great diversity of ethnicgroups and with time-honored history and civilization, China abounds inintangible cultural heritages. Cultural heritages connect modern people withthe historical past, allowing them to acquire a cultural and historicalidentity. Without cultural heritages, we would be rendered absolutely rootlessand we would find it hard to cope with challenges at present and in thefuture.
However,the modernization process poses mounting threats to intangible heritages. Manypeople have a blind faith in the latest electronic devices. It is also patheticto see elderly people in possession of such legacies pass away withouttransmitting them to the younger generation. Faced with those challenges, weshould both preserve and renovate our ancestral heritages so that we can helpcontribute to the cultural diversity of the world and return to our spiritualhomeland in this age of impersonal science and technology.

Firstof all, shopping online is very convenient. People can buy thing only they havea computer, which can surf the Internet. They don’t need to go out on a rainyday or under the shining sun. Meanwhile, people can save their time to finishtheir work or other things. On the contrary, as people just decide what theybuy depending on the picture placed by the shop owner, they can’t see thequality before they receive the product. Sometimes people maybe buy the thingsare in low quality, or some fake products.
Ingeneral, shopping online has its advantage and disadvantage. In my opinion, Iprefer shopping online than shopping on the street.

Althoughsupermarkets have to pay for the plastic bags, consumers bring them far greatereconomic rewards in comparison to this minimal cost. From this point of view,it is the supermarkets that have gained the hidden profits through free bagswhile consumers only get shopping convenience they should have.
Inaddition, it is over-optimistic and bit simple-minded to contend that chargingfor plastic bags can help reduce pollution problem. My observation tells methat in most supermarkets plastic bags are offered by salespeople according tocustomers' actual needs. Since the need for shopping bags does exist, chargingfor those bags is not so effective. Besides not only the supermarkets providefree plastic bags, most the food markets and shops do. Therefore it isunrealistic to expect this policy to help reduce the pollution problem causedby plastic bags.
Inshort, it is not a wise policy to charge shopping bags. To protect theenvironment, people should take varied of effective measures.

For instance, if someone buys some fake medicines, it maynot cure him of his illness, on the contrary, it may probably make his illnessworse or even put an end to his life. Besides, fake commodities may impair theprofit of the manufactures who produce the real products by making theconsumers suspicious of these products, thus causing social problems. There aremany ways to get rid of fake commodities. First, laws should be enforced topunish those who produce these products. Second, people should be advised howto tell the genuine commodities from the fake ones. Moreover, people should notbuy things just because they are cheap and attractively advertised.Furthermore, they should be encouraged to report to the relevant authorities incase they have bought a fake commodity. withthe development of people’s life standard and the progress of technology,phones have been very common in our lives. Therefore, there are some peopleworrying that letter writing will be replaced by phones totally. In my opinion,phones will not kill letter writing completely.
Manyreasons can account for my views. First, compared with phones—a straight way toexpress feeling and to communicate, letter writing is more implicit. In otherwords, letter writing is an implicit way to deal with problem, especially in anembarrassing situation. For example, when we have quarrel with our friendssometimes, we can explain or apology to them by writing a letter. Second,letter writing is more sincere and formal than phones in expressing ourgratitude. Most of the well-educated are inclined to use letters to expresstheir respect and gratitude rather than other ways in that they can collectthese letters to commemorate their association or affection. I believe thatthey will keep this habit all the time. Finally, to some extent, letter writingis much cheaper than phone calls and the former is more suitable for the poor.
Therefore,I believe that letter writing will not be replaced by phones completely, and Ieven advocate that we should use letter writing to replace phones in somememorable situation.

Iwoke up in this clear, early winter morning and was attracted by the sceneryoutside my window. The faint fragrance of dewdrops hanging on the bare twigs tempted meinto contemplation.
Mycontemplation was about the question: to whom my thankfulness should pay onThanksgiving Day.
Initially,I would thank my parents. It is the parents who give me life and have played anunsubordinated role of the process of our language learning and walking. Theyused their warm palms to receive me to come into this world; the very moment Iopened my eyes, their wide smiles were greeting me. They whispered the firstword into my ears, softly; they held my hands to lead me to tread my firststep, firmly. Although the ability of learning language was innate, parentstaught me how to speak and communicate; although my legs were inborn, parentsassisted me to stand uprightly and walk like a human. I have been appreciatingto my parents, for they lift my sorrow with their shoulders notwithstandingtheir own pressure.
