China, in particular, unveils its previously mysterious image to the rest of the world by its open policy, and thus provides foreigners with the access of a rich and diversified gallery of traditional Chinese culture. The effect of such communication can be best exemplified by the recent years’ fashion to celebrate the traditional Chinese new year—the Spring Festival globally.
While people belong to nations, cultures know no boundary. The contemporary globalization is not only featured by frequent international trades, economic and political exchanges, but more importantly, by global citizens’ awareness and comprehension of the cultures in the world. I firmly believe that the blend of cultures is contributing, and will contribute more, to world peace, development, and prosperity.
